Legion Oil & Gas LLC started loading on-specification base oils Group III 6cSt and 8cSt. These top-quality grades can be delivered worldwide in flexitanks or IBC. These Group III VHVI-6 and VHVI-8 base oils are similar to OEM approved, but have more competitive price.
Legion Oil & Gas LLC also has a high-quality Group III synthetic oil grades 4cSt available from Tatneft’s Taneco refinery. Our company regularly has stock in port of Riga. The company has capacity of aproximately 200’000 tons per year of HVI-2 and VHVI-4.
Russia has one more Group III base oils unit at Yaroslavl refinery, which until now could not reach on-specification. The unit has capacity 100,000 tons/year. It produces viscosities of 2cSt, 4cSt, 6cSt and 8cSt which could qualify for Group II.
Lukoil, the biggest Russian base oils exporter, has started Group II export from its Volgograd refinery. The company offers viscosities of 4, 5, 6 and 8 cSt.

Russia also exports another high-quality base oil – PAO with multiple viscosities: PAO-2, PAO-4, PAO-6, PAO-8 and PAO-10. In 2022 heavier grades could be available such as PAO-20 and PAO-100.
The main applications for base oils group 3 are high-performance engine oils, drive line fluids and industrial lubricants. These products can be found in the lubricant, construction, and chemical industries.
