Last week ISCC announced a few restrictive measures against companies from Belarus as a reaction on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The ISCC association expressed their concern about the ongoing war and decided to suspend the registration and certification of new Russian and Belarusian clients.
“Both measures shall come into force with immediate effect and apply until further notice by ISCC” – ISCC System Update.
ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) is a system for the certification of sustainable biomass and bioenergy. According to their website, ISCC has issued more than 33,000 certificates in more than 100 countries. ISCC is a member of the UN Global Compact and supports major international initiatives.
