2 cSt (VHVI-2 base oils)

2 cSt (VHVI-2 base oils)

Base oils with a viscosity of 2 cSt Group III are highly refined hydrocracked oils. They are produced through a process called hydro isomerization, resulting in very low levels of sulfur and aromatic compounds. These oils are often labeled as partially synthetic or even synthetic lubricants in some countries. However, they do not contain chemical additives and consist of over 90% saturated compounds. The viscosity index of Group III base oils exceeds 120.

Base oils 2cSt Group III Application:

  • Base for motor oil and modern industrial lubricants
  • textile and cutting oils
  • heat pumps, and heat exchangers

VHVI-4 advantages

  • Good  performance across a wide range of characteristics, along with molecular homogeneity and stability.
  • Its thermal oxidation stability minimizes oil oxidation and scale deposition at high engine temperatures.
  • Low volatility reduces the need for frequent oil refills.
  • They also serve as viscosity index improvers for other base oils and additives in various industrial and automotive lubricants.

Legion Oil & Gas LLC procures base oils with a viscosity of 8 cSt in bulk and distributes them globally. Our reach spans Europe, Latin America, and Africa, delivering products to the USA, China, Turkey, Germany, South Africa, Europe, and various other locations worldwide.
